..it has been awhile since i updated..but this news is worth getting my malas self to type here..Alhamdulillah, idea Saga yg dah setahun lebih di-build up sendiri dan kemudian sesama kawan2 (salim, prem, 39, botak, roy, n yg lain2 yg penah contribute n support jugak), selepas dah dihantar sebagai pitch, di-shortlist jadi finalist, semalam present kat Pitching Day MSC Malaysia Digital Comic Design Competition 2006… shortlisted entries consisted of 20 pitches…and after judging by the panel, 10 pitches will receive the RM15,000 grant…aaaand..We’re one of them!


..It was one helluva nervous but fun day..

Dah la present last, menggelabah toksah cakap la..and we all could only present with whatever material we submitted in our pitch. Meaning, d flash presentation i made all night sampai pukul 6 pagi, langsung tak dapat guna.. masa mula tu dah abes luluh la jantung dah, tp thankfully it all went well..tapi dok menyedapkan hati sendiri aje laa sepanjang hari tu..

If you’re all wondering what SAGA is about.. well, here’s our synopsis dalam pitch tu.

This is a story about Malaysia’s first national car, the Proton Saga, and the lives of the people who are affected by its presence. We will see different people react differently to the exact same car at different points in time.

The first owner will be proud to own it (too much pride, in fact, that it leads to hate and prejudice). A girl would come to despise it (and find a lesson in humility and growing up). A group of robbers would only see it as a means to an end. And by the end of the story, the car itself will have a chance to reclaim its original glory for all of them to see.

One car. Four stories. All Malaysian.

And yes, memang inilah story yg ada gambo people in weird animal costumes together in a red saga.

Now kena start buat d komik dan siapkan. Berusahalah!
